What can you do to become comfortable in social interaction? If you want to get friends, improve social competence and just be cool in a relaxed way, what should you do?

Get a new ego - that is really, really good? You can. ...But is that the thing that you think will get a stable happiness, built on something real? Not really, is it? What about bypassing the need for good beliefs and a huge ego, and use something built on our common humanity - built on the fact that noone is perfect.

That would be better would it not? I have my own take on this... What you can do, in order to bypass (over-)thinking, is focus on something else than on what is going on inside your own head - whatever is going on in your head; no matter how negative your feel, or anything like that... What can you focus on, other than your thoughts? Well, your breath is one thing that will completely change your life (and I am not kidding one bit here, at all). Try to take conscious control over your focus, and shift it so you feel like you are "in" your breath (I know this is abstract, but bear with me and try to ge ta feel for what I am sensing and a feel for how you could use this for your own benefit; that is all that is required from you at this point).


When you have this breath-focus, what do you do..? Actually, have you noticed a difference..? The voice in your head shut up, did it not? Actually you can use this simple little technique any time to clean your head off all thoughts -- it is super effective for this.

So... while focusing on your breath, just enjoy this moment... then, if you want to start taking some kind of action - which I would imagine you will want to do, eventually - you use the breath as a kind of "base" for that action -- you do this by, just before taking the intended action, reverting back to your breath with your focus, as to in some sense draw energy from your breath. I understand if you have no idea what I am talking about at the moment, and that does not really matter -- it will all make sense to you when you start using it; and if not all of it, enough to make a real difference for you in your life.
